What is ACM?

The Association for Computing Machinery is a U.S. -based international learned society for computing. It was founded in 1947 and is the world's largest and most prestigious scientific and educational computing society. ACM is widely recognized as the premier membership organization for computing professionals, delivering resources that advance computing as a science and a profession; enable professional development; and promote policies and research that benefit society.


We are the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), ABES EC. The chapter was established in the year 2014. We aim to instill the spirit of technology and computing among the students, through the various fields modern Information Technology has developed in.


The ACM Women's Council (ACM‐W) work to increase recruitment and retention of women in computing at the university level. ACM-W chapter offer activities and projects that aim to improve the working and learning environments for women in computing.
